Susan
Almazol, M.A., co-founded Communication Training Consultants, Inc., in
Silicon Valley in 1981, with Octave V. Baker, Ph.D.
In addition, she developed the two core technical writing classes
offered in the Engineering Management and Leadership Program at Santa
Clara University.She taught
both classes from 1979 to 1999.
As a
writer and sculptor, Susan brings both discipline and creativity to
teaching. She has developed structured approaches to help
writers generate content quickly, organize for their reader (not for
themselves), and edit for correctness and style.
She also creates stimulating exercises based on participant writing
samples to make learning both meaningful and enjoyable.
Her major
contribution to teaching writing successfully is the practical Fearless
Writing Formula™
that
helps writers satisfy their readers' needs.
Susan
holds degrees from the University of California at Berkeley and the
University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.
She has been listed in Who's
Who of American Women, Who's Who
in California, and the National
